From Dudley Wood to Hollywood - Big Ade Hits 'Tinsel Town'

A council road worker will hit the dizzy heights of the Hollywood movie scene later this year.

Big Ade Rollinson will be swapping his work on the roads of Dudley Wood to star alongside no less than Nicole Kidman and the new James Bond, Daniel Craig, later this year.

The Golden Compass will be released at cinemas in December when Ade, who has worked with the authority for 18 years, will make his big screen debut.

Ade may be a familiar face to many of you through his high profile performance in strongman competitions across the world.  And it was through his involvement in these that the amazing movie role came about.

Ade explained:  "I've got an agent down in London who is also involved with the strongman scene.  He called and said there was an opportunity to go down to Shepperton Studios in London to audition for a role.

"We went along and pretty much as soon as they saw me I got the part.  We went down a few times to do the filming, which was mainly fight scenes, but we are definitely the good guys in the film."

And this could be the start of Ade's acting career.  He enthused:  "The film is the first of a trilogy so watch this space!"

The film is set for a UK release date of December 7.
